Norske Skog won the prestigious award "Farmandprisen" for 2012 for best 2011 annual report among the listed companies on Oslo Stock Exchange.

The award is the most prestigious and oldest award for annual reports in Norway. The CEO Sven Ombudstvedt and VP Communication Carsten Dybevig received the award on behalf of Norske Skog in a ceremony down town Oslo Thursday evening. The report was praised by the jury and beat last year's winner Cermaq, who finished second. Winning the award is a great honor and achievement in light of the fact that the text, tables, graphs and images are mainly produced by our own staff.

The jury said: This is a rock solid and transparent report where the presentation and design reflects last year's activities in a very good way. It also provides a thorough introduction to the company's operations and production with complementary quantitative information. Accounts are extensive and detailed, and there is added a very good review and discussion of issues related to the environment and sustainability.

Farmand magazine was founded in 1891 and is regarded as "the first Nordic business magazine." Every year since 1955 these prestigious award has been awarded to "the best Norwegian stock listed company" which could be the best and most complete annual report.

Norske Skog won the award also in 1991 and 1999.
